Description
- We know that you can sometimes feel perched in a 'standard' saddle on a horse with a lower-wither conformation, so this new tree and panel design brings you 'close in' to your horse
- The soft and comfortable all-leather seat adds to that feeling of closeness and sitting 'in to' your horse
- The moveable Velcro knee block can be adjusted to suit your individual leg shape and position
- Thorowgood’s multiple girthing options improve stability on even the widest of horses or those with big movement

GP models are fitted with three girth straps. The point (front) strap and second strap are stitched, the third strap is moveable. This changeable girthing arrangement allows saddle stability to be optimised instantly.
Begin by girthing in the neutral position using the second and third billet. (NOTE: This is the same as girthing on the first and third billets on a saddle with a conventional girthing system)
If you find the saddle slips forward, you can use straps 1 and 3
If the back of the saddle lifts away from the horse’s back, move the third strap onto the floating balance position and use straps 2 and 4
For increased stability you can use straps 1 and 4
NEVER girth using positions 1 & 2. This causes saddle instability and potential discomfort for your horse.
The moveable girth strap can be positioned on the back ring to achieve optimal saddle stability
Step 1: Feed the strap through the ring with the point upwards and the top side of the strap facing down against the sweat flap.
Step 2: Curl the strap round and through the webbing loop
Step 3: Pull the strap tight ensuring the webbing loop lies flat against the top of the strap. (Reverse the above steps to remove a girth strap).
