Saddle Description:
The PDS Grande is the foundation saddle in the PDS Carl Hester Collection and forms the basis of the range.
The PDS Grande Alto is also available. Both the Grande and Grande Alto panels have a gusset in the front of the panel, which allows additional flocking to be inserted if necessary for a custom fit. The Alto is for horses with a higher wither and a greater wither to back differential. Featuring AMS for horse comfort and X-Change System Series I.
What is X-Change System?
The rider can modify the width of the tree in 6 easy steps using any of the adjustable gullet plates with only a screwdriver. It is really that simple!
This system does not change the integrity or look of the saddle. The strength and the feel are the same. The tree can perfectly adapt itself to the withers and back of any horse. The tree size can be changed from Narrow up to Extra Extra Wide.
Why do I need AMS®?
The AMS® System utilises a special neoprene layer which provides a soft consistent layer to support the rider’s weight on the back of the horse.
This layer absorbs impact and distributes pressure evenly allowing for comfort plus optimal movement for your horse. Saddles with AMS® panels can be re-flocked and fitted to your horse, just like a traditional wool flocked saddle. The distribution of weight with the AMS® System allows for the physiological requirements of the equine athlete.
